Matt Frey I Lead Pastor

Matt is a Jewish man who has come to see the profound nature of God in Messiah Jesus. Jesus became Matt’s consuming passion during his undergraduate years at the University of Minnesota. With an enthusiasm for God’s word, he went on to receive his Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary. Before joining Chosen People Ministries, Matt served as the pastor of equipping and community development at Elmwood Church (EFCA) in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. In the fall of 2022, the Lord led him to join Chosen People Ministries as a staff missionary, where he is specifically endeavoring to plant a church community that is seeking to bring Jew and Gentile together under Christ. Matt, his bride Holly, their son Danny, their daughter Mary Grace, and their soon-to-arrive daughter currently live in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Matt is passionate about Bible teaching, especially when it is deeply grounded in its ancient contexts. In his free time, Matt enjoys reading, playing guitar, and spending time with his immediate and extended family.
